CollegeSoccer.us has created an algorithm determining the academic rank without human subjectivity. We also included US News & World Report and their individual rankings of best universities and colleges as part of our equation.

The lower the points the higher the rank:

2. Northeast-10 Conference (201.7 Points)

3.California Collegiate Athletic Association (203.6 Points)

4.Great Lakes Valley Conference (205.8 Points)

5. West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference

6. South Atlantic Conference (213.1 Points)

7. Conference Carolinas (213.7 Points)

8. Great American Conference (222 Points)

9. Northeast-10 Conference (222.2 Points)

10. Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (224.5 Points)

11. Pacific West Conference (226.8 Points)

12. Heartland Conference (228 Points)

13. Great Northwest Athletic Conference (229.1 Points)

14. Gulf South Conference (231.3 Points)

15. Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (244.7 Points)

16. Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (245.3 Points)

17. East Coast Conference (255.3 Points)

18. Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (258.6 Points)

To be part of the rankings a conference has to have a minimum of 50% of the colleges listed in the US News & World Report and their individual rankings of best universities and colleges.

Three conferences do not have enough colleges ranked: 1. Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, 2. Lone Star Conference and 3. Central Atlantic Conference.
