Warm-up exercises: crossing accuracy 2
Drill Description

Three numbered cones are set up in front of a goal with goalkeeper.

Two wing attackers stand on the sideline.

The other players wait in the midfield. Each has a ball.

The first midfield player plays a long ball to one of the wingers and starts running toward the goal.

The winger passes directly to his/her partner, who then dribbles to the endline.

The midfield player calls out a number, and the winger plays the cross to the corresponding cone.
Coaching Tips
-
1: Low cross to the front cone. Shooter shoots directly with head or foot.

2: Cross to the middle cone. Shooter quickly controls the ball, then shoots.

3: Cross to the rear cone. Shooter dribbles in, creating a 1 vs. 1 against the goalkeeper (or another defender).
