Quick transition drills: switching halves
Drill Description

A second goal with goalkeeper is set up just behind the centerline.

The width of the fields slightly reduced. Sidelines and centerline are marked with cones.

Two teams of five.

The coach is positioned to one side of the centerline, with balls.

5 versus 5 on two goals with goalkeepers. In order to score, all attackers must first cross the centerline. When play stops (shot, out of touch or offsides), the coach throws a new ball into the other half. Both teams must immediately switch directions and continue the game according to the new situation.
Coaching Tips

6 versus 6 or 7 versus 7, on a slightly larger field.

For more advanced players, restrict the number of touches allowed.
