3 vs. 1 attack
Drill Description
-
Players are assigned to the two zones in front of the goals.
-
Goal Zone 1: Three attackers vs. one defender.
-
Goal Zone 2: One attacker vs. one defender.
-
Extra balls are placed near both goals.
-
Play begins with the 3 vs. 1 in Goal Zone 1.
-
The three attackers combine to set up a pass to the attacker in Zone 2.
-
After the pass, two of the Zone 1 attackers switch sides to create a new 3 vs. 1 and help their teammate score.
-
After the shot, a new turn begins with the 3 vs. 1 in Zone 2 and so on.
-
If a defender wins the ball, he/she passes it to his/her teammates on the other side, who may shoot on that goal.
Coaching Tips
