2 vs. 2 / 1 vs. 1 in the center circle
Drill Description
- Two teams of the three play in and around the center circle on an "open" goal set up with flags on the centerline.
- Both teams are divided to create a 2 vs. 2 outside the circle and a 1 vs. 1 inside it.
- Players may not cross the center circle line, by the can score goals from the inside or outside the circle.
Coaching Tips
- Be ready to switch from combination play to 1 vs. 1 whenever you can.
- Variation: 3 vs. 3 outside the circle and 1 vs. 1 inside.
- Variation: With Goalkeeper in the "open" goal.
