4 vs. 4 on four goals with neutral goalkeepers

Drill Description

• Set up four goals on the edges of a half.
• Divide the players into three teams of four.
• First, Teams A and B play 4vs. 4 inside the field, and Team C's players act as goalkeepers.
• Team A's objective is to score as many goals as possible within a certain time period (three to four minutes).
• Team B simply tries to keep the ball as long as possible. 
• All teams switch roles after each round.

Coaching Tips

• Team A: Try to win the ball as quickly as possible in order to score more goals before the game ends.
• Same as above, except players are divided into three teams of six. Teams A and B play 6 vs. 6. Team A tries to score, and Team B tries to keep the ball. Four players from Team C act as goalkeepers, and the other two jog two laps around the field, then switch with two of the goalkeepers. Each player must run two laps.
